Who are we?
Our team has been working for a good life for everyone in Lusatia for years.
We have blocked Nazi marches, turned market squares into democratic meeting places, reappraised the local history of National Socialism and baseball bats, organized ourselves with refugees, built cultural venues, founded initiatives and networked regionally and nationally.
But we also know from our own experience what it can mean personally to get all these wonderful things off the ground: You are threatened and attacked by right-wingers. We have learned that there is only one thing that can help: we have to join forces, share knowledge about right-wing structures and support each other.
We want to make all of this experience available to democratic civil society and do our bit for a good life in Lusatia.
We are creating the "Projektraum" for this purpose:
A place where all the groups that are committed to democratic change can meet.
A place for exchange and constructive debate.
A place where civil society can form, network and strengthen itself.
A place where new projects for a diverse Lusatia can be created.
Why now?
We are in the middle of a decisive election year. Will the shift to the right continue or will we manage to make democratic civil society heard and turn the tide before it is too late?
The current protests, especially in southern Brandenburg and Lusatia, are a great success and give us a lot of courage. We are convinced that this can lead to a sustainable awakening for solidarity and democratic coexistence.
For this to happen, we need structures that support civil society and consistently stand by those affected by right-wing violence. Structures that will also endure if the shift to the right continues.
With your donation and our perseverance, we are building these structures.

Wir tanzen zusammen und du bist eingeladen!
Letzte Woche
Wir möchten dich einladen mit uns in Cottbus zu tanzen und zu demonstrieren.
Wir bringen am Samstag das demokratische Cottbus und die vielfältige Lausitz auf die Straße und stehen gemeinsam auf für Zusammenhalt, Demokratie und gegen die extreme Rechte.
Besonders freue ich mich auf die Auftritte unserer großartigen Künstler*innen Malonda, Mia Morgan und Skuth! Diesmal demonstrieren wir nicht nur zusammen; wir tanzen auch zusammen!
Auf der Kundgebung werden Vertreter*innen verschiedenster Institutionen und Gruppen Reden halten. Es werden unter anderem Superintendent Georg Thimme (evangelischer Kirchenkreis Cottbus), Ulrike Kremeier (Direktorin des Brandenburgischen Landesmuseum für moderne Kunst), Werner Tress (Moses-Mendelsohn-Zentrum an der Uni-Potsdam) und Fatuma Musa Afrah (United Action Women and Girls e.V.) sprechen.
Darüber hinaus wird es Infostände u.a. von Schöner Leben ohne Nazis, Unteilbar-Südbrandenburg, der Umweltgruppe Cottbus, AfD-Verbot-Jetzt!, dem Cottbuser Aufbruch und Kein Bock auf Nazis geben. Auch für das leibliche Wohl wird – gegen Spende – gesorgt sein.
Warum bringen wir dieses breite Bündnis auf die Straße? Darum: Die Politik der AfD ist ein konservatives Elitenprojekt, das jenseits der Lebensrealität normaler Menschen ist. Sollte ihr Programm umgesetzt werden, würde das heißen, dass die Mitte der Gesellschaft weniger Geld in der Tasche hat, Reiche weniger Steuern zahlen müssten, Geflüchtete um ihr Leben fürchten müssten, Frauen an den Herd verbannt würden und wir dem Klimawandel schutzlos ausgeliefert wären. Genau darum stehen wir als breites Bündnis jetzt auf und sagen entschlossen: Nein!
Schon im Vorfeld haben die BTU, das Staatstheater, das Dieselkraftwerk, das Piccolo-Theater, die Lutherkirche und das Hausprojekt Zelle79 mit großen Transparenten unter dem Motto „Demokratie verteidigen!“ zur Teilnahme an der Kundgebung und zur demokratischen Wahl aufgerufen. Die Transparente werden bis zur Wahl an den jeweiligen Häusern zu sehen sein.
Wir laden dich ganz herzlich ein, am Samstag dabei zu sein. All das ist auch mit deiner Unterstützung erst möglich geworden.
