“Help us fund the demonstration in Berlin with your donation! Every contribution counts!”
On February 14th, the next climate strike will take place! Shortly before the federal election, we want to bring climate back to the agenda with the strike. Like many other local groups in Germany, Berlin is also planning a demonstration. In the capital, right before the eyes of those responsible, we want to show that the current measures for climate protection are insufficient. With a strong program and masses of people, we are loud - loud for the right to a future.
To make this possible, various things need to be paid for. A major item is the technology required for such a demonstration, as well as barriers and food for all those helping on the day of the demo. The costs range from 5€ for a roll of barrier tape, several hundred euros for printing posters, to several thousand euros for a stage with sound technology. You can find a few examples below. Donations are used directly for the work of Fridays for Future without detours, and any remaining funds will be used for future projects of FFF Berlin. That's why every contribution counts, no matter how big or small!
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, helps to put up a demonstration! And the more support there is, the louder and bigger we can become.
With a monthly donation, you enable us to constantly apply pressure, even beyond the climate strike!
Who is Fridays for Future Berlin? We are the Berlin local group of the global climate justice movement Fridays for Future. Since 2018, we have been organizing demonstrations and school strikes for climate-friendly and socially just policies completely on a voluntary basis. Our major goal is to ensure that the Earth does not warm more than 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial times. Extreme weather events such as floods or wildfires are already happening due to the climate crisis, along with health-damaging heat records. These and more crises caused by the climate crisis affect us all. We see that nothing changes by itself. Instead, we must remain active as a broad civil society coalition to ensure that the right decisions are made at the political level and the climate crisis is fought, instead of continuing to cling to climate-hostile fossil energy. The time to fight back is right now, and it takes all of us.
