Our international team (Kanduyi Children e.V.) supports socially underprivileged students from Kenya to acquire free secondary school education. As the most discerning source of permanent sustainable development, education is the key to eradicating poverty. Through our voluntary work, we grant young people a chance to eternally breach the vicious cycle of atrocious poverty with its determinants, usually passed on from one generation to another in an even more hazardous and inhumane form. All our donations are channeled transparently and corruption free only and only towards the education of these children.
While primary school education in Kenya is free of charge, secondary school is not. Many families are willing to take lots of risks, so that their children can attend school. However, expensive school fees, travel costs to far-off schools, and school equipment are an unbearable financial burden. It is the plight of over 60% of the youth in Kenya today, never being able to join secondary school due to lack of finances. The result is that many young people, especially women, aren’t able to find work, let alone being paid well enough to support their own livelihood. Consequently, when they have children, they won’t be able to pay for their education either. Their families are trapped in an everlasting vicious cycle of poverty. Kanduyi Children e.V. aims to break this cycle, by offering financial help to enable students access the education they desperately need.
You cannot expect human rights and freedom in a society where education is not a matter of fact. On the other hand, you are not going to have dictators, anarchists or war mongers safely rising up without peaceful, but formidable resistance in an enlightened society. You’re going to have instead a world in which poverty, corruption, racism and discrimination might not totally disappear, but will be definitely effectively reduced.
To this day, we as Kanduyi Children e.V. have granted more than 170 girls and boys the chance to graduate from secondary school. Not only has this had a positive influence on their lives, but also on the society at large. Our beneficiaries are going to be enlightened enough to know that family planning matters and that it doesn’t make sense; just to bear children without being emotionally prepared enough for them and without having the financial means to help raise them up. They are going to be well informed enough to help take measures to save our planet by engaging in environmental friendly ventures. They will have so much awareness, that no politician is going to fool them into any kind of senseless war leading to innocent deaths. They will be fully aware of the rights of other human being and respect them.
However, the number of children in need exceeds our financial resources by far. Your donation will enable more of them to access education, demonstrate their abilities, exploit their talents, and escape dire poverty.
